WAYS TO INCREASE THE SOCIETY’S CONFIDENCE IN SAFETY OF A GEOLOGICAL RADIOACTIVE WASTE DEPOSITORY

Abstract

The authors have analysed the ways of improving safety of long-term storage and disposal of high level waste including spent nuclear fuel from the viewpoint of increasing confidence of the society in further use of nuclear energy and preventing illegal use of nuclear materials and technologies.
